Sometimes the best help is staying close and saying nothing at all.

Who it's for

Loop shows sensory overload from the inside and the outside at once: we see what Renee enjoys (textures, colors, the reeds, a looping sound) and how quickly a loud noise can tip her over.

What it is

A Pixar SparkShort about two kids paired up in a canoe at summer camp: Marcus, a talkative boy who arrived late, and Renee, a non-speaking autistic girl absorbed in a sound app on her phone. Marcus tries to impress her and then to share something she likes, but when a speedboat roars past in an echoing tunnel, Renee is overwhelmed. Marcus has to find a new way to connect.

Where to find it

Disney+ (subscription), in the SparkShorts collection.
