Pitch Perfect is a crowd-pleaser built around group celebration: riff-offs, rehearsals and a final performance that lets a mismatched group finally click.

What it is
Beca, a guarded freshman who wants to be a music producer, reluctantly joins Barden University's all-female a cappella group, the Bellas. Clashing with co-leader Aubrey's traditional approach, Beca pushes for fresh arrangements while the group battles the male Treblemakers. After internal fights and setbacks, the Bellas reconcile and win the national championship with a mashup Beca arranges.
