Radiohead wrote it during the exhausting OK Computer tour, and it captures the urge to disappear when everything is too loud and too much.
"How to Disappear Completely" is an acoustic ballad with orchestral strings from Radiohead's 2000 album Kid A, with themes of escape, alienation and detachment. Thom Yorke began writing it in 1997 during the stressful OK Computer tour, and its central idea came from coping advice given to him by R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe.
