What it is
The Great British Bake Off is a baking competition produced by Love Productions, conceived by Anna Beattie, that began on BBC Two in 2010, moved to BBC One in 2014 and to Channel 4 in 2017. Amateur bakers compete in a marquee over a series of weeks, each episode having a signature bake, a blind-judged technical challenge with minimal instructions and a showstopper.
