Perfection is the lie 🖤

Who it's for

Amy Lee wrote this about unrealistic, hypersexualized ideals of perfection pushed by the music industry and their effect on young people.

What it is

"Everybody's Fool" is a song by Evanescence from their debut album Fallen, written by Amy Lee, Ben Moody and David Hodges and released as the album's fourth single in 2004. Lee wrote it out of frustration with the music industry's manufactured, hypersexualized images of female pop idols, which her younger sister had started to imitate, and the way such images shape young people's expectations and self-image.
