What it is
Based on the story of Rudy Ruettiger, a working-class young man from a steel town who dreams of playing football for Notre Dame despite lacking the money, the grades and the size. After his best friend dies in a mill accident, he commits to the dream, works his way into the school through a nearby college and joins the practice squad, hoping to suit up for just one game.
