Originally recorded by Bonnie Tyler, Turner's version became an anthem of admiration and pride, later used in sports celebrations.
"The Best" is a song written by Mike Chapman and Holly Knight and first recorded by Bonnie Tyler in 1988. Tina Turner's 1989 version on Foreign Affair, for which she asked Knight to add a bridge and a key change, became a major international hit. It has since been widely used in sports, as stadium and walkout music, and in advertising.
