What it is
"Juicy" was the first single (August 1994) from The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut album Ready to Die, produced by Sean "Puffy" Combs and Poke of Trackmasters and sampling Mtume's 1983 song "Juicy Fruit." The song tells a rags-to-riches story: a childhood in poverty, early dreams of becoming a rapper, his musical influences, years involved in street crime, and eventual success in the music industry.
