When the pressure's on and won't let up 😤
Billy Joel's synth-driven rock song is about the pressure that builds up in life and the expectation to handle it.
"Pressure" is a 1982 synthesizer-driven rock single by Billy Joel, the first single from his album The Nylon Curtain. Joel said the pressure he meant was mostly the pressure to write and to provide, going back to his early struggle to pay rent. The idea came when he was stuck midway through making the album and his secretary remarked that he looked under pressure.
