When the pressure is on, lean on love 🫂
The Queen and Bowie collaboration explores how stress pushes people to breaking point, and suggests love is what helps us through.
"Under Pressure" is a 1981 collaboration between Queen and David Bowie, written jointly by all five and recorded in a single session in Montreux. It was released as a single in late 1981 and later included on Queen's 1982 album Hot Space. According to bassist John Deacon, as cited by Songfacts, the lyrics deal with how pressure can damage lives and how love can be the answer.
