Stuck living the same day over and over? Phil only got out when he stopped trying to escape and started showing up. ☀️
Groundhog Day turns the feeling of being stuck into a literal loop and then walks through the stages many people pass through: exploiting the situation, trying to control it, despairing of it, and finally finding meaning within it.
Directed by Harold Ramis from a screenplay he co-wrote with Danny Rubin, the film follows Phil Connors, a cynical television weatherman sent to cover the Groundhog Day festivities in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. Snowed into town by a blizzard, he wakes to find himself reliving February 2 over and over.
