What it is

Richard Adams's 1972 novel begins when Fiver, a young rabbit, has a frightening vision of his warren's destruction; the Chief Rabbit dismisses the warning, but Fiver's brother Hazel leads a small group away from Sandleford Warren. The band makes a dangerous journey across the Hampshire countryside, facing predators and human threats, and settles on Watership Down.
