Townscaper is, in its creator's words, more of a toy than a game: you click on an endless sea to raise coloured blocks, and simple rules turn them into arches, stairs, balconies and gardens.

Townscaper is a town-building game developed and published by Oskar Stålberg, released in early access in 2020 and fully in 2021. Players place and remove coloured blocks on an endless calm sea, and the game's rules decide how each block looks based on its surroundings, producing spires, balconies, arches, gardens and stairways without specific instructions.
