Waiting is not easy. Ask Gerald. ๐๐
Waiting for something good can feel unbearable, especially for young children, and Gerald's huge, funny frustration makes that feeling visible and laughable.
Piggie has a surprise for Gerald the elephant, but he will have to wait for it. Gerald groans, protests and tries everything to make the wait go faster, while the pages slowly grow darker. When night finally falls, the surprise is revealed: a sky full of stars and the Milky Way. Gerald agrees it was worth the wait, and wants to wait for the next one, the sunrise, together.
