What it is
'Old King' is track 8 on Neil Young's 1992 album Harvest Moon (Reprise Records). The song is about Young's hound dog, Elvis, who appears in the song as 'King', and tells the dog's story. A rambling banjo and a bouncing, train-like beat drive the song, and Nicolette Larson sings backing vocals.
