Who it's for
This is pure release: a glittering, slightly absurd underdog story that builds to one of cinema's great crowd-on-its-feet finales.

Feelings it meets
What it is
Champion ballroom dancer Scott Hastings scandalises the Australian dance federation by improvising his own steps. When his partner walks out weeks before the Pan-Pacific Grand Prix, he teams up with Fran, an overlooked beginner, whose family teaches them the paso doble, and together they take on federation boss Barry Fife.
