What it is

The Beatles' cover of "Twist and Shout" closed their debut UK album Please Please Me, released on 22 March 1963, and came out as a US single in 1964. It was recorded at the end of a long session, and John Lennon's hoarse lead vocal was captured in a single take that has been called one of the most famous single takes in rock history.
