What it is
"We Are All Made of Stars" is the first single from Moby's sixth studio album, 18, released in April 2002. Moby wrote it in New York after the September 11 attacks as an expression of hopefulness, drawing on the scientific idea that matter is essentially made of stardust. Its music video, directed by Joseph Kahn, shows Moby as a spaceman moving through a satirical portrait of Hollywood excess.
