"What I've Done" was the lead single from Linkin Park's third studio album, Minutes to Midnight, released in 2007. Chester Bennington said the song reflects on how the band had changed, working as a farewell to its former self. It plays over the closing scene of the 2007 film Transformers, and its video mixes band performance with footage of human-caused problems such as pollution and war.
