What it is
"Straight to Hell" is a song by the English punk band The Clash from their 1982 album Combat Rock, released that September as a double A-side single with "Should I Stay or Should I Go." Joe Strummer wrote the lyrics overnight near the end of the band's New York sessions, set to a bossa nova-influenced beat.
