For when the big moment didn't feel big 🎈
Peggy Lee recounts life's supposedly huge moments and finds each one strangely lacking, answering with a shrug and a resolve to keep enjoying what she can.
"Is That All There Is?" is a song by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, best known from Peggy Lee's 1969 hit version on her album of the same name. The verses are spoken and only the refrain is sung. The narrator recounts life events that are supposed to be profound, including a childhood house fire, a visit to the circus and a first love, finds each one disappointing, and decides she may as well keep enjoying herself.
