Who it's for

Nick Drake reflects on feeling weaker and darker than he once did, with the quiet honesty of an artist who lived with depression.

What it is

"Place to Be" is the second track on Pink Moon, Nick Drake's third and final studio album, released by Island Records in February 1972. The album was recorded over two late-night sessions with only Drake and engineer John Wood present, using sparse arrangements built mostly on Drake's voice and acoustic guitar. "Place to Be" is a short song for voice and guitar only.
