Busted and Blue
For the quiet, blue kind of lonely 💙
Who it's for
A slow, melancholy ballad, it captures a hazy loneliness and sense of disconnection.
Low and disconnected→Gently held
Feelings it meets
What it is
"Busted and Blue" is track 11 on Gorillaz's 2017 album Humanz, a stripped-back, slow ballad sung by Damon Albarn. Albarn described it as the moment the album calms down after the party, and as a very personal moment for him. Songfacts describes it as a despondent song about failing to come to terms with how much technology dominates modern life.
