What it is
"Appointments" was released in August 2017 as the first single from Julien Baker's second album, Turn Out the Lights (Matador, October 2017). In a Song Exploder interview, Baker said she wrote it as she was starting to take her recovery and mental health more seriously, including going to therapy.
