The Wonder Years look at the anxiety of reaching adulthood and feeling behind while friends hit milestones.
"Passing Through a Screen Door" was released in March 2013 as the first single from The Wonder Years' fourth album, The Greatest Generation, on Hopeless Records. Vocalist Dan Campbell described the album as completing a trilogy about growing up and as being about ending an internal struggle with anxiety. The song is restless and anxious in tone, with a brief calmer bridge.
