What it is
"Welcome to Heartbreak" is the second track on Kanye West's 2008 album 808s & Heartbreak and features Kid Cudi. West has said it grew out of a conversation with MTV producer Dave Sirulnick, who showed him photos of his children. The song contrasts luxury possessions and fame with an inner emptiness and with the family life his circumstances have kept out of reach.
