Overwhelmed? Watch Istanbul's cats run the city for 79 minutes. Your nervous system will thank you.
Kedi works almost like a guided wind-down: slow street-level camera work follows Istanbul's cats at their own pace, and there are no villains or cliffhangers.
Ceyda Torun's documentary follows the stray cats of Istanbul, which have lived in the city for centuries, some feral and others cared for by residents. The film focuses on seven cats and interviews the people who interact with them, some of whom describe feeling broken and finding that caring for the cats feels redemptive.
