Listen to this when
Heartbreak doesn't always look like quiet crying. Sometimes it looks like falling apart where everyone can see. 🥀
The song tells the story of a drunk man just separated from his girlfriend, lashing out at the couples and strangers around him, so it gives voice to the envy, bitterness and humiliation people rarely admit to after a breakup.
"Formidable" is a 2013 song by Belgian artist Stromae, released as the second single from his album Racine carrée, about a drunk man who has just separated from his girlfriend. Its music video was filmed with hidden cameras as Stromae appeared drunk and distressed at a Brussels tram and metro station at daybreak, while bystanders filmed him and police approached, unaware the scene was staged.
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music (widely available). Official music video (the hidden-camera Louise station video) on the artist's channel.
Heads up: Drinking to cope and public humiliation.
