What it is
A roughly six-minute animated video from Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell, released on 26 July 2017 and billed as 'the philosophy of Kurzgesagt.' It sets out the vast age and scale of the universe and how insignificant a human life looks against it. It then argues that if the universe has no inherent purpose, people are free to decide on their own principles, and that this one life is what matters.
