What it is
Waiting is a 2015 picture book written and illustrated by Kevin Henkes and published by Greenwillow Books. Five toys sit on a windowsill: a pig with an umbrella who waits for rain, a bear with a kite who waits for wind, a puppy on a sled who waits for snow, an owl who waits for the moon, and a rabbit who isn't waiting for anything in particular and simply likes to look out the window.
