This playful standard is a near-perfect portrait of being stuck with someone who will never give a straight answer.
Doris Day's 1965 recording of Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps, from her album Latin for Lovers, sets Joe Davis's English lyrics to Cuban songwriter Osvaldo Farrés's Quizás, Quizás, Quizás. The singer asks someone again and again whether they love her, and every answer is only 'perhaps'. Her version found a new audience after appearing in the 1992 film Strictly Ballroom.
