What it is
A heavily fictionalised musical about P. T. Barnum, who rises from poverty to build a museum and then a circus starring performers society has shunned. As his success grows he chases respectability, strains his family and his troupe, and loses nearly everything before rebuilding the show with the people who believed in him.
