Starstruck
Hooked up on New Year's Eve, now pretending it's no big deal for a whole year? Jessie gets it.
Who it's for
The first series is a near-perfect portrait of the undefined in-between: the second-guessing after a hookup, the not-texting-first, the pride that makes both people act like it meant less than it did.
Feelings it meets
What it is
Starstruck is a British sitcom created by and starring New Zealand comedian Rose Matafeo. Jessie, a New Zealander juggling two jobs in London, has a New Year's Eve one-night stand with Tom, who turns out to be a famous film actor. Series 1 jumps across a year of holidays and chance meetings as the two keep falling back into each other's orbit without ever quite defining what they are.
