What it is
"Good Times" is a disco and soul song written and produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers of Chic, released in June 1979 as the first single from the album Risqué. It celebrates dancing and enjoying the moment, with a nod to the roller-disco craze of the time. Rodgers said its references to Depression-era songs were a hidden comment on the economic conditions of the late 1970s.
