What it is
"Do You Realize??" was the first single from the Flaming Lips' 2002 album Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Wayne Coyne wrote it during the album sessions, a difficult period when guitarist Steven Drozd was struggling with addiction and had lost his father. Its themes are mortality and love, reflecting on how fragile human life is. It was briefly designated Oklahoma's official state rock song.
