What it is
"Another Story" is a track from Burna Boy's 2019 album African Giant, featuring Ghanaian rapper M.anifest. It opens with a spoken historical voiceover about Britain taking over administration of what became Nigeria from the Niger Company in 1900, framing colonial rule as a commercial transaction. The song addresses colonial history and its lasting effects, and M.anifest's verse criticizes inequality and propaganda.
