What it is
"Wake Up Dead Man" is a song on U2's album Pop, released in March 1997. It began as an upbeat song during the 1991 Achtung Baby sessions, grew darker during the Zooropa sessions, and was shelved until Pop. It is described as one of the band's darkest songs, with Bono pleading with Jesus to return and save humanity.
