it's a family affair, for better or worse 🛋️
Sly and the Family Stone look at the roles inside a family, the child who does well and the one who struggles, both loved by the same mother.
"Family Affair" is a 1971 song by Sly and the Family Stone from the album There's a Riot Goin' On; it became the band's biggest hit and spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song contrasts two children raised in the same home who turn out very differently, and looks at how family life can go wrong. Sly Stone said it was about family whether the outcome comes from genetics or environment.
