What it is

"Too Many People" is a song from Paul and Linda McCartney's 1971 album Ram, written by Paul McCartney, with Linda on backing vocals. It was also released as the B-side of "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey." McCartney later said it was largely a jab at John Lennon and Yoko Ono, whom he felt had become preachy after the Beatles broke up.
