Listen to this when
when running feels easier than facing it 🏃
Linkin Park sing about how much easier it feels to run from painful, shameful memories than to face them.
"Easier to Run" is the sixth track on Linkin Park's second album, Meteora (2003). Mike Shinoda described it as being about escapism: how it can feel easier to run from your problems than to face them. Chester Bennington first wrote the verses as a free-writing exercise, before any music existed. It is a slower, mellower song than most of the band's material from that period.
