Rivers Cuomo falls for a woman and then learns she is gay, so the love can never be returned.
"Pink Triangle" is a song from Weezer's 1996 album Pinkerton, written by Rivers Cuomo and sent to radio as a promotional single in May 1997. In it, a man falls for a woman he imagines marrying, then finds out she is a lesbian. Cuomo based it on a real woman he met at Harvard: he fantasized about a life with her until he saw a pink triangle on her sleeve.
