"I Need My Girl" is a song by The National from their sixth album, Trouble Will Find Me (4AD, May 2013), later released as a single in 2014. Matt Berninger has described it as a plain song about missing your partner, and said it reflects guilt about being away on tour and is partly an apology to his wife and family. Aaron Dessner wrote the music in his garage studio.
