"Dress" is the debut single by English musician PJ Harvey, written with Rob Ellis and released in 1991 ahead of her debut album Dry. The song follows a woman who wears an uncomfortable dress to impress a man and is left embarrassed when he does not appreciate it. Its black-and-white music video was directed by Maria Mochnacz.
