What it is
"Rebel Girl" is a punk song by Bikini Kill, written by all four members with lyrics credited to Kathleen Hanna, and widely seen as the signature anthem of the riot grrrl movement. It was released in three versions: on the Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah split LP with Huggy Bear, on a single produced by Joan Jett (who also added guitar and backing vocals), and on the album Pussy Whipped.
