What it is
"Matthew 25:21" is the ninth track on The Mountain Goats' 2009 album The Life of the World to Come (4AD), a concept album in which each song is titled after and inspired by a single Bible verse. John Darnielle has said the song recalls the death of his mother-in-law from cancer and the difficulty of being in the room with someone who is dying.
