What it is

Journey in Satchidananda is Alice Coltrane's fourth studio album, released in February 1971 on Impulse! Records and produced by Coltrane and Ed Michel. Its title reflects the influence of Swami Satchidananda, whom she studied under, and 'Something About John Coltrane' is based on themes by her late husband. Coltrane plays harp and piano with Pharoah Sanders, Cecil McBee, Rashied Ali, and Tulsi Sen Gupta on tanpura.
