"Everyday People" is a song written and produced by Sly Stone and recorded by Sly and the Family Stone, released as a single in November 1968 and later included on the 1969 album Stand!. It is a plea for peace and equality among people of different races and social groups, arguing that people are fundamentally alike and that prejudice based on traits such as height, wealth or skin colour is pointless.
