What it is

"Les Bourgeois" is a comic chanson by Jacques Brel and the title track of his 1962 album. In the song, Brel and his friends Pierre and Jojo drink together and jeer at wealthy, respectable people leaving a nearby hotel. In the final verse the narrators have grown older and become the bourgeois who are now the targets of the same mockery.
