What it is
"Dog Days Are Over" is a single from Florence + the Machine's debut album Lungs (2009), first released in December 2008 and re-released in 2010. Florence Welch co-wrote it with Isabella Summers, and James Ford produced it. Welch took the title from an Ugo Rondinone text installation she passed daily while cycling over Waterloo Bridge. The song builds into an urgent, pounding anthem.
