What it is

"Brand New Me" is a soft piano ballad from Alicia Keys' fifth studio album, Girl on Fire, sent to radio in November 2012 as the album's second single and co-written with Emeli Sandé. The song is about personal growth and becoming a new version of yourself. Keys has likened it to her autobiography, about finding yourself and introducing who she is now to people who still see who she used to be.
